I know that this post is a tad late…
For NYE I drove to Iowa (Riverside Casino & Resort) to perform with 5 of my fellow dancers. Paul came as the videographer/photographer. I must say, he put up with a lot.
“Take a picture of this!”
“Did you get footage of that?!”
“Blah blah blah”
“Yadda yadda yadda”
He did a great job. All of the pictures and video turned out great! Thanks to him I can share our performance with you guys.

P.S. Thanks again to Riverside for bringing us in! We love performing at your casino and are so excited for next year’s show!
Normally I don’t reblog. Buuut…
1. My brother posted this on his new blog.
2. It’s a shot from our holiday road trip.
Enjoy!

It was Open Mic night at Lucky Number Grill on Saturday the 8th. I had to snag some video footage (thank gawd for my iPhone 4) of Dylan Lloyd as he played his guitar. Instantly fell in love with his voice. Can’t wait to hear more…
Paul and I have driven over 2,000 miles in the last two weeks. This latest trip was to a casino in Iowa. On the way home to Chicago we made a couple stops:
Paul’s— They were having a toy sale. I also picked up a giant bag of popcorn kernels.
Iowa 80— The World’s Largest Truck Stop. I remember watching a show about it on the travel network. We didn’t realize where we had stopped until we walked inside.
Paul is a perfect road trip buddy. Where will we go next?

I drove to Hartville, OH yesterday. Last min road trip to take care of some things in my old hometown. I’ve only been here for one day and am leaving tomorrow. So far I’ve stumbled upon some pretty interesting things…

I thought it would be a good idea to post a picture of the Blue Hubbard once in my kitchen. It took me 40 minutes to crack this baby open with a hammer.
Paul and I went to Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm last weekend. We bought one of these huge Blue Hubbards and cooked it on Thursday for our weekly ‘family dinner.’ Mmmm mmm tasty! It provided us with enough left-overs to make squash stew this week! I’ll post pics once available…
Went to a market last week. Stumbled upon this. You know I had to pick one up. I love me some Heliopsis.
Hell fucking yes.
There’s a place that just opened up within walking distance of my apartment…

Oooo sushi. It’s the one thing that’s guaranteed to cheer me up when I’m in a funk. The last week or two I’ve been extra sour, so Eder and I decided it was time for some all you can eat shenanigans.

zomg.
Fav. places for sushi in Chicago?
Mine:
1. Usagi Ya - love the atmosphere.
2. Kin - so fucking fresh.
3. Sushi Para M- all you can eat.
Food coma. Goodnight.

Geo took this picture while we were exploring the city last Thursday.
